Missions is about sharing God's love with others, wherever they may be. This is the love demonstrated supremely through the death of His Son on the cross, love that calls people to know and follow Jesus Christ. In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus commissioned all of us to be involved in this adventure.
Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT) Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Missions is not about knowing but going. It involves giving our time, talent and treasure to reach out and care. It is about doing something to help reach those who need help and hope, who need to see and experience the reality of God's love through human hearts and hands.
At Church of the Redeemer we are committed to taking the gospel into our community, our country and around the world. We support many ministries and missionaries here and abroad and we send teams from our church on a variety of missions.
